At Chingford we were asked to replace a 1970s driving range of 16 sub-standard bays with a modern facility. The new building has 24 bays with scope for enlargement to a total of 32 bays with a minimum of disruption.
The project is the realisation of a long cherished vision of the owner (Gordon Goldie PGA) in providing to the local community a first class public golf facility with a strong emphasis on teaching. The building is steel framed and clad in facing masonry. The bays on both storeys are clad with a translucent GRP panelling that allows the daylight to fill the space.
On this project, we worked with an extremely tight budget and delivered the building on time (16 week construction period) and on budget.
